Description
On July 7, local time, the Nepalese government department said that the heavy rainfall since the 6th has killed at least 14 people, 9 people are missing, and more than 200,000 families have been displaced. Roads, Bridges and other infrastructure were destroyed, and the economy suffered. Nepal's capital Kathmandu was hit hard, with several rivers overflowing their banks, including the Kosi River, which runs between Nepal and India, above the dangerous water level. According to the Nepalese authorities estimated that as of July 9 local time, since the monsoon rains entered Nepal on June 10, floods and landslides caused by continuous heavy rainfall have killed 80 people and left 6 missing.
