57 people have been killed and thousands in flooding in the southern city of Hodeidah following several days of heavy rains,the UN has said. More than 34,000 families were affected by the heavy rains, which began in late June and intensified in early August. Hudaydah, Hajjah, Taiz, and Marib are the hardest hit, with Hudaydah experiencing severe damage and displacing over 6,000 families. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is ramping up emergency aid in response.
