Description
A powerful storm has swept across the United States, bringing threats of heavy rainfall, flooding, and strong winds to multiple states. Kentucky and Tennessee have seen precipitation exceeding 8 inches (approximately 203 mm), while Virginia has recorded 5 inches (approximately 127 mm) of rain. Over 110 million people are under weather alerts. As of February 25, the winter storm has resulted in at least 22 fatalities. On February 16, President Trump declared a state of emergency for Kentucky and authorized the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to coordinate disaster relief efforts.
